I find it more confusing then it fricking should be to answer what seems a simple question.
preamble:
in America,
1 (televised program, usually 30 minutes or hour in length) = episode of a show
1 (years worth of such stories) = season of show
1 (run of the show) = series of show
If the show is revised this is referred to as a new series ie: Star Trek is the original series, Star Trek :TNG is the second one, then subsequent ones no one watched...
